HYALURONIC ACID: One step beyond Hyaluronic Acid development
The key ingredient of youthful skin
Recently beauty editors, skincare companies and anti-aging enthusiasts are becoming more and more keen on hyaluronic acid. This ingredient is everywhere: not only in injectable fillers but also in mesotherapy cocktails, topical ampoules, serums, lotions, creams and masks. Such a successful active must do amazing things for your skin – don’t you think?
If you are on the fence about this wonder ingredient or simply curious, read on to find out what it does, how to use it and even if you should use it or recommend it.
¿What’s HA?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural polysaccharide occurring in our skin, which is considered the most powerful moisturizer and humectant known by far. In fact, HA holds up 1.000 times its own weight in moisture. Its properties make it a crucial ingredient to have a moisturized, plumped, firmer-looking skin. Thus providing a youthful appearance with a luminous glow.
As nothing lasts forever, Hyaluronic Acid declines with age and external factors – sun exposure, pollution among others – and consequently our skin loses the ability to preserve its moisture, resulting in dryness, visible loss of subcutaneous volume and firmness and therefore, having dull skin, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The good news is that these non-desired effects can be prevented or reduced by continuously moisturizing the skin. And no better way to do it but supplying the most powerful hydration molecule: Hyaluronic Acid.
It revitalizes the skin’s outer layers so they look and feel softer, smoother and glowingly hydrated. Is a safe and eficient active that will not trigger any adverse reactions, even on sensitive or acné prone skin. It works overtime by replenishing skin, resulting a healthy look and feel. It can also reduce the appearance of wrinkles and flaking. So, it’s no surprise that many beauty brands are adding hyaluronic acid into their products.
Several Neftis Laboratorios’ products include Hyaluronic Acid. You find them both in mesotherapy cocktails and in ampoules, serums or creams.
Application
The application of Hyaluronic Acid by Mesotherapy is used as a non-surgical treatment, conceived as a way of administration of this important active ingredient to the skin in order to help moisturise and plump itself from the inside. The greatest advantage of mesotherapy is that you’ll get real results faster than with other methods of application. Besides that, the risk of side effects is extremely low.
These types of treatments are recommended for those who desire to improve their skin’s glow, firmness and vitality. It is an excellent way to achieve and maintain skin health and youth.
HA preparations
All our products contain non-cross linked hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin with pH 7 and stabilized. We offer a range of hydrogels with hyaluronic acid of different molecular weights. In simple terms, low-weight (short-chain) HA is smaller, and therefore penetrates the skin to a deeper level, while the larger (long-chain) high-weight HA molecules are good for hydrating the surface of the skin. Depending on the purpose of the treatment, a different HA will be recommended. Nevertheless, it’s suggested to use products that contain both chains of hyaluronic acid, so that you get both benefits. Added to these treatments and to boost these results, it’s usually recommended to combine mesotherapy with a home care treatment that keeps the skin revitalised and hydrated for longer.
