Neftis Laboratorios launched a solidarity production line in December 2019. At that time, ten social entities collected 4,451 units of shower gel at Neftis. This project has continued to be consolidated through some donations that we have recently made. The objective is to join the many solidarity actions that are being carried out to mitigate the effects of COVID-19.
A few weeks ago we made a donation to the Hospital de Granollers that included 500 ml hydroalcoholic gel. In parallel, we also delivered the same gel to the Red Cross.
In addition, Neftis Laboratorios joins the work that the NGO Open Arms is doing these days against the coronavirus. Open Arms is a non-governmental and non-profit organization whose main mission is to protect those people who try to reach Europe by sea while fleeing from warfare. At this time, to deal with COVID-19, the NGO is collaborating with the Department of Health in a specific plan to carry out tests in 290 nursing homes in Catalonia.
Specifically, from Neftis Laboratorios we have donated to the NGO 150 ml hand sanitizer gel, 200 ml hydroalcoholic gel, disposable gowns, disposable aprons, disposable coveralls, masks, shoe covers and caps. A team from Open Arms went to collect all the material directly at Neftis Laboratorios facilities.
