Find out what Microbiological Intercomparison Studies are and discover the result we obtained in our last evaluation.
At Neftis Laboratorios we participate every six months in the Microbiological Intercomparison Programme, an important tool for the external evaluation of the accuracy and reliability of the results of our microbiological tests.
In the last evaluation we obtained a score of 8/9, a result that gives us great satisfaction and reinforces our commitment to excellence in every step of our work.
What are microbiological proficiency testing schemes?
They are external and voluntary evaluations in which laboratories and companies with a microbiology laboratory analyse contaminated samples sent by an auditing body. The results obtained are compared between the participants and compared with the expected result, thus measuring the qualification of the personnel and the consistency of the methods used and the results obtained. These studies ensure that the procedures used and the results obtained meet the highest standards and reflect the reliability and rigour of the daily work.
Why are they important?
- They help us to accurately detect micro-organisms.
- They validate our methods and align our processes with international standards.
- They guarantee the microbiological safety of the products that reach the consumer.
- They drive continuous improvement, one of the fundamental pillars of Neftis.
