Chemical peeling is an exfoliation technique which consists in the application of a product to the skin to eliminate dead cells and renew the superficial layers.

Chemical peeling is an exfoliation technique which consists in the application of a product to the skin to eliminate dead cells and renew the superficial layers.

What is it for?

Chemical peelings have many functions. Some of the treatments for which chemical peelings are used are:

  • Acne or acne marks
  • Signs of ageing and age spots
  • Fine wrinkles and expression lines
  • Minimizing freckles
  • Irregular skin pigmentation
  • Scars
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Dilated pores
  • Luminosity

Types of peelings

There are different types of peelings which vary depending on their depth:

  • Superficial: Indicated for acne scars, oily skin and slight wrinkles. It helps to improve the aspect of the skin and serves as a basis for other treatments.
  • Medium: Indicated for slight wrinkles, sun marks and ageing. This type of peeling is used before treatments such as micro-abrasion, liftings, etc.
  • Deep: Indicated for superficial, medium-depth and deep wrinkles, keratosis, sun marks and flaccidity. It is very effective.

Monocomponent Monocomponent peelings consist of just one acid and are available in different concentrations:

  • Pyruvic 30%, 40%, 50%
  • Lactic 30%, 40%, 50%
  • Mandelic 30%, 40%, 50%

Combined peelings Peelings consisting of different components with the exact concentration to treat specific problems:

  • TCA 25%: 25% Trichloroacetic acid
  • Retinol Yelow Peel Solution
  • Safe TCA Peeling: 15% Trichloroacetic acid.
